Before heading to the little island Koh Mak, we stayed two nights in Trat were we rented a motorbike and did a roadtrip down the coast along the Cambodian border.

Yeah, the beaches in Trat are stunning. We really enjoyed visitiing all those beaches on our motorbike. Most people heading that way go to the islands of Koh Chang, Koh Kod, Koh Mak and Koh Wai. That’s why so many of the main land beaches in Thailand are empty. ??

Thailand is good and bad and if you want to find beaches with no people and not too much development you have to do your research. We’ve spent years in Thailand in total so we don’t really fall in to the worst tourist traps anymore. If you ever go Thailand, don’t hesitate to ask us for advice and tips on where to go.
