I love Texas, it’s an awesome place to be and I wouldn’t want to live in any other state (except maybe California or Hawaii)
But as a Hispanic, I take the part where you say Texas fought for independence from Mexico offensively.
The Pilgrims and Settlers fought for independence from the Monarchy, and then stole the land from Native Americans and Mexico. It wasn’t a battle of independence, it was a battle of land, and since the Mexicans lived there they were sentenced to death.

Sadly, History is written by the winners.

Buncha’ Whiners… You weren’t there, and neither was I. Don’t you have enough to deal with in your own life, without trying to ‘fix’ supposed offenses of someone else’s ancestors? If you don’t have a life, go rent one.

Agreed!! I think it’s ironic that Americans say immigration is a problem. Native Americans can definitely agree to that.

I wouldn’t say Texas/America won. That’s like saying a rapist “wins” when he is able to wrestle someone to submission. America didn’t “win” it’s land, it simply forced it out of the hands of it’s original owners.
