If you’re yet to get lost exploring Dubai’s historical quarter, then the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood is filled with some amazing insights into the origins of this amazing city.
There are tonnes of art galleries, historical gems, cafes, cultural heritage sites and more, all contained within the neighbourhood, and there’s so much to learn about Dubai, and where it came from.
Tim and Darragh from Time Out Dubai Vlogs spent an afternoon literally getting lost among narrow alleyways, stumbling upon amazing pieces of art, learning about the Dubai Wall, which protected the city in the 1800s, and then visited the Dubai Museum in the Al Fahidi Fort, which was first constructed in the 1700s.

Cool video guys! I love Al Fahidi area! My favorite place has to be the coffee museum, where you can find some very old coffee machines and try their coffee ☕️

I just visited the museum last 2 years ago and the place was awesome…

Another great video guys, Al Fahidi is the traditional style of life that was prevalent in Dubai from the mid 19th century till the 1970s is reflected at Al-Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, where buildings with high air towers (Barajeel), built with traditional building materials such as stone, gypsum, teak, sandalwood, fronds and palm wood are aligned side by side, separated by alleys, pathways and public squares, which give the district a natural and beautiful diversity.

I enjoy crossing the creek on an a bra for only 2dhs! Probably the most awesome cheapest thing to do in Dubai, especially when you have visitors to take then to explore the spice and gold souq.

It’s always great to see the older part of the city

Our favorite part of old Dubai is definitely Dubai Creek. Taking a ride in old-fashioned abra and enjoying the scenery is a must for us at least once per month!

From childhood, I had a strong affinity with water. Just sitting by a lake will take away all the negativity and sadness out of me. That’s why, when I felt homesick for the first time after coming to Dubai…my husband took me to Dubai Creek. So, though we have not explored the total area yet…Dubai Creek will always be special for me.❤️
